Your Words Determine

Ephesians 2:8 " For by grace are ye saved through faith."

Our last couple of messages have dealt with faith as we see from the above scripture that faith is the conduit through which every blessing flows from the spiritual into the natural realm. So accordingly we have set out to teach how faith works. We found out last month that faith is "in the heart and in the mouth" so let's look now at words. Jesus said in Mark 11:23 "whosoever ...shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith." I call this the first law or principle of faith YOU have what YOU say. David Ingles said it well in one of his songs " Your the total of your talkin yesterday" Now this upsets some folks but stay with me and let's see what the bible says. James 3:2 " For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able to bridle the whole body." another version says "stumble in what he says." So James says if a man can control what he says he can control his whole body. Proverbs 6:2 " Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Proverbs 18:7 " A fools mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul." Proverbs 10:11 "The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life:" Proverbs 12:13,14 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble 14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth..." Proverbs 18:7 " A fools mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul." Proverbs 18:21 " Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Matthew 12:37 " For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Matthew 15:11 " Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man." I could give you several more scriptures but this is sufficient number to show that Life and/or Death, Good and/or Evil, Success and/or Failure, is in YOUR mouth. YOUR circumstance is controlled by YOUR words. If you are dissatisfied with your circumstances make an honest appraisal of what you have been talking. Have you been saying what the Bible says about you? Or have you been saying whatever the circumstances look and feel like in your life. Make sure you are a born again believer then ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit Baptism ( with Power) then study the epistles the New Testament books after Acts and before Revelation to find out who you are in Christ Jesus and what belongs to you as a child of God then begin to boldly say what the Word says regardless of contradictory circumstances. Defeat the devil with "It is Written" If you will keep the devil in the faith arena you will whip him every time. If you allow him to keep you in the reason arena he will defeat you. remember, " We walk by faith and not by sight." If it is lying to call things that be not as though they were then God is a liar! However the Bible says " Let God be true and every man a liar." ( Romans 3:4 ) So begin to say how you want things to be in your future not how they appear to be.
